About Derek

Born and raised in Johnson County, Derek Weather is a dedicated family man, a hardworking business man, a current Cleburne City Councilman for District 1, and a proud U.S. Army veteran.

At work, Derek is an associate director at Powerhouse, a national commercial field services company. At home, he is husband to Nidya and father to their four children. He also volunteers with Lions Club, VFW, among others.

A veteran of active duty (2006 - 2011) and reserves (2011 - 2017) in the U.S. Army, Derek was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (08-10) and received Army Intelligence Analyst training.
